ExcelSteel 3-Piece Red Mixing Bowl Set

Product Review

Have you ever had the lid to a bottle of Snapple? You know how you'll be able to "click" that lid by pushing it in and out? These bowls are type of the same thickness of metal. You'll be able to do that to the bottoms of the bowls. They are not bad bowls, but I thought they'd be thicker. I would get them in spite of the lack of thickness, but I think I overpaid according to that. As an aside, the stickers which are on the bottom of the bowls if you 1st open them are ridiculous to remove! Sounds dumb to be annoyed by that, but I hate when that occurs. Goo Gone worked for me following a couple of applications. (More...)

OXO Good Grips Plastic Bowls - Set of 3

Product Review

This is the single most useful factor I've run across. The non-stick material on the bottom of the bowl allows you to whisk and mix with no fear of the bowl scooting across a surface. The manage is so straightforward to hold onto. There is a slight pour spout and despite the fact that mine is really a couple of years old, it really is in wonderful shape. Indestructable! Reco International Ribbed Bowls Set of 3, Cobalt

Product Review

I had a bowl and it cracked...it was very old, but I really liked the ceramic bowl, so I purchased this. Got a set of 3 and it was just what I was searching for. Good top quality, just a little bit heavy, but it's ceramic and if it were light it wouldn't be great top quality. (Read More...)

Pyrex Smart Essentials 8-Piece Mixing Bowl Set Review

This is an awesome set of bowls. I already had some cylindrical bowls with lids and mixing bowls with out lids along with the lids from my new set fit these also. I use the bigger bowls for proofing bread dough and utilised to put a lidless bowl in a plastic bag. The lids are much far more convenient to clean up than the bag. The smallest bowl is typically an afterthought in a set like this, but it is the excellent bowl for beating eggs for an omelette or scrambled eggs. It turns out I use all the bowl sizes as mixing bowls without having lids and as storage or proofing bowls with lids. Cooks Illustrated has shown that the lids aren't as tight as many of the plastic bowls available on the market. I believe them, but the compromise is worthwhile. I've had cylindrical bowls with lids from Pyrex for a long time, so I know that the lids will wear out in a number of years. This is yet another compromise that I've accepted. To create the lids final longer, put them within the top shelf of the dishwasher, not the bottom. The bigger ones don't fit in the leading rack and so I do them by hand. These compromises prevent me giving a score of five, but maybe that is unfair due to the fact I use Pyrex bowls all the time. They're incredibly versatile (microwave, freezer, oven, storage, mixing) and I'm considerably healthier not working with plastic bowls. I've looked at other merchandise available on the market and they are all less excellent for my needs.

Wilton 6-Piece Mixing Bowl Set Review

I lately received this set of Wilton mixing bowls with lids. When I unboxed them, I saw that there had been specifically the identical as a Copco set I have been working with for years minus a bigger bowl. These bowls are really versatile and handy for many mixing and storing uses, especially for no-knead breads. I like them greater than glass or stainless because they are lighter and no danger of breaking or denting if dropped. The only negative is that over years of use, the interior gets scratched from mixer use but this does not detract from their utility. I would suggest these to everyone who bakes or cooks a whole lot.
